Nutrition Counseling Services

Founder Dee McCaffrey’s Nutrition Counseling Program consists of nutritional guidance and education for long-term health. You are reminded that changing the way you eat, thereby changing your lifestyle, is a process to be taken one day at a time. Clients are encouraged to eat foods in their closest to natural form. Emphasis is placed on taking personal responsibility for one’s own health through nutrition education, avoiding processed foods, becoming educated shoppers, and preparing food that is nutritious and tasty. Pre-Assessment and Getting Acquainted Consult (30 – 45 minutes):

This consult allows us to get acquainted and for me to gather some preliminary health information from you. We’ll talk about your needs and goals, I can answer any questions you have about the program, and I will set up an appointment time for your Initial Consultation.

After we’ve had our Pre-Assessment, I will email you a welcome letter, my intake/consent form. This form will need to be returned by email prior to our initial consultation. This gives me time to review the forms and helps to maximize our time together. If you have recent blood work or other lab reports, you may email them to me also.

Initial Consultation (1-1/2 to 2 hours):

Based on the information from your pre-assessment and intake forms, we will discuss what changes you may need to make with regard to your current food choices. We will work together to develop and tailor a personalized dietary protocol that WORKS for you.

If appropriate, I will make recommendations for nutritional supplements.

Two (2) Follow-Up Sessions (1 hour each):

During our follow-up sessions we’ll meet to review your progress, keep you moving forward, and make any necessary changes to your eating plan. More importantly, we discuss your eating behaviors and the circumstances that lead to unhealthy eating. I’ll coach and guide you to take the next steps you need to achieve your particular goals. We will also address any questions you have or challenges you are encountering.

You can text or email me anytime with a quick question, and I’ll send you answers—usually within one business day, and many times much sooner than that.

Recipes and Cooking Tips

You will have access to quick, easy, and delicious recipes. The recipes will make it easy for you to prepare healthy food at home and save time. If you are not a recipe person, I will show you how to cook foods a variety of ways without a single recipe. Either case will ensure that you are completely comfortable cooking new ingredients or using new techniques.

Educational Materials

Following each session, I will email you materials that relate to the specific goals we are currently working on. The materials supplement and complement the discussions during your sessions. They will help you become empowered to make educated decisions. Providing these materials also allows us to move more quickly and pack a lot into your sessions.

Three Month Comprehensive Lifestyle Program: $1,775

(payable in a $375 deposit and three scheduled installments).

Unlimited Phone Access

When you’re stuck on an assignment or an issue, it’s easy to give up or lose momentum. With the 3-Month Lifestyle program, you have unlimited access to my help, which allows you to keep moving forward, get answers to your questions, or get feedback. I do not offer this in any of my other programs. In my opinion, access to this kind of support is not only priceless, it can make or break certain situations. You can call me anytime for a 15-minute check-in, and I’ll do my best to help you on the spot. These check-ins are a time for you to ask questions and for us to address any challenges you’ve had the previous week or anticipate in the week ahead. These phone calls are designed to keep you motivated and can be used to help you make a plan for the week ahead.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Clients are requested to provide 24 hours notice of cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. Without such notice clients will be billed for the professional time at the regular consultation rate.

If for any reason clients do not continue with pre-paid sessions, a $65 cancellation fee will be deducted from any refunds.
